NEAAO is happy to host in-person events after a year of social distancing.
NEAAO hosted the annual community Eid al-Fitr on May 22, 2021 with a second drive up event. It was wonderful to connect again, and we are looking forward to gathering in person soon! Dr. Imad Durra, infectious disease specialist, was there to make sure all 125 families had the most up-to-date information about the Covid-19 vaccination. Read about our event in NEAAO in the News.

Below: Gifts of Acadia is a three-part virtual series that is part of NEAAO’s Together Home is Here program. In our first session, participants shared objects and stories that explore the meaning of home.
NEAAO hosted a performance of the play Lost and Guided in 2018.
NEAAO’s Together Home Is Here event on July 16 at Riverbank Park included singing, games, and an outdoor movie. Artist Kifah Abdulla led a community art project for all ages that we can exhibit in a variety of venues.
Below: On September 19, 2020, NEAAO held a Family Fun Day at Maine Mall, featuring Batimbo United Drummers and Dancers, a local folk singer, and speakers from around the world who shared their stories.
NEAAO participated in the Yalla! census effort, hosting events to support Arab Americans as a US Census category.
